"Why Don't Young People Vote?" Response
In the article Why Don't Young People Vote by The Huffington Post the author seeks address the question put forth in the title of why there is such a high level of apathy towards politics by young voters. Specifically why Generation Y(The Millennials) seem so averse to politics when they have more resources than ever before to educate themselves with things like videos, blogs, and websites to research candidates on the internet. Additionally there are more means of contacting government representatives, and making one's voice heard now than ever as well. Anyone born from 1980 to the early 2000s fits in the Millennial category so I am definitely a part of that generational group. As to what the author says, I agree with her view on our generations apathy towards politics.
